The family of Jerry Fults will hold services at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Highland Park Presbyterian Church at 3821 University Blvd. in Dallas. A reception will follow in the church's fellowship hall.

The 67-year-old Fults began in commercial real estate in the 1970s. In 1979, he founded Fults & Associates and sold the 100-employee operation in 1999 to Kennedy-Wilson International Inc. of Beverly Hills, CA. Three years later, Fults surprised Dallas by announcing his retirement from the firm, saying the move would give him more time to devote to motorcycle riding and skiing in Colorado. At that time, his son, Tracy, transitioned to Cushman & Wakefield of Texas Inc. as a senior vice president and is now director of asset services. Fults also is survived by his daughter, Sheri.

Fults, who died in his sleep, had spent the day hunting with friends. Considered by many to be one of the region's most likable real estate executives, Fults was inducted into NTCAR's Hall of Fame four years ago and honored with a Stemmons Service Award 20 years ago.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Children's Medical Center at the Office of Development, 2777 Stemmons Freeway, Suite 1025, Dallas, TX, 75207-2230 or the American Heart Association at 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, 75231.
