Sun West Communities is relocating to 8245 N. 85th Way from a 2,500-sf leased office at 877 N. Gainey Center Dr., just one mile from the new site, says Blake Hastings, a senior associate with Grubb & Ellis/BRE Commercial LLC. He and Jeff Wentworth, a senior vice president for Grubb & Ellis/BRE Commercial, represented Sun West Communities.
"Sun West didn't want an office condo, but they didn't want to lease anymore either," Hastings says. He adds the building at 8245 N. 85th Way was a perfect fit. "Because there was a homebuilder in there before, it has a class A finish out," he says. Calvis Wyant had outgrown the space and is relocating to Desert Fairways.
Hastings tells GlobeSt.com that Sun West Communities wanted to be near Loop 101 to provide convenience to customers and employees. Built in 1982 and renovated in 2001, the single-story building is situated on a half-acre within an enclave of single-tenant office buildings. Sun West Communities obtained new financing for the headquarters building.
