The price paid by the California firm to Conley RV Center of Bradenton equates to $78.99 per sf on the building and $560,345 per acre (12.86 per sf) based on the land alone. The facility was built in 1971.
The Grubb & Ellis/Commercial Florida team of Jeff Lamm, Mike Scott and Jan Boltres negotiated for the seller. Commercial Partners Realty represented the buyer. Lamm tells GlobeSt.com his team obtained the listing for the property June 15; had it under contract by Sept. 23; and closed the deal Dec. 14.
Lamm says there were no special environmental or governmental challenges buyer or seller had to overcome before closing the transaction. "It was fairly cut and dried," Lamm says.
La Mesa RV, founded in 1972, claims on its website it is "one of the largest recreational vehicle companies in the world." The company's inventory of 1,800 vehicles are stocked at 12 locations in California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona and Utah.
