Chaunl Motorcycles USA Ltd. signed a three-year lease at 9886 Chartwell Dr., a 26,596-sf building in a 529,764-sf complex, now 80% leased, says Helen Hudson with TIG Real Estate Services in Dallas. The firm assembles motorcycles imported from China.
Chaunl, which exited temporary space along Shiloh Road, looked at five buildings in Plano and Garland before settling on Northgate. "It had the right combination of office and showroom," Tom Strohbehn with Grubb & Ellis Co. in Dallas tells GlobeSt.com. The firm's new location has 2,000 sf of showroom space and 2,500 sf of office area, with the balance held firm as warehouse.
Hudson says another deal, 8,852 sf, is waiting to be signed to take the three-tenant building to full after much of its space sitting dark for nearly a year. Owned by the Seattle-based Kenney Associates Real Estate Counsel, the Northgate space ranges from $3.75 per sf for office/warehouse to $6.50 per sf for pure office.
