Bruce Marshall, with 31 years' experience, has secured his Sperry Van Ness affiliation and teamed with Joe Garrett, who started flying the flag last year. The longtime friends, representing 60 years of experience, will keep the operation at Garrett's 15850 Dallas Parkway office. Marshall, accorded a senior adviser's status, will fold his 21-year-old DataVest Inc. business into the Sperry Van Ness office.
"Bruce is one of Dallas' premier commercial real estate professionals and we are proud that he is joining Sperry Van Ness," Stephen Hay, regional manager in the South for the Irvine, CA-based firm, says in a press release. "With his knowledge and proven track record in the Dallas area, we're confident that he will be an extremely valuable asset in helping to grow our business."
Marshall's track record consists of more than 150 transactions exceeding $500 million of sales, structuring and financing. He says he's hit the ground running to amass a sales roster while putting together a prospective buy list for clients now looking for properties in Dallas/Fort Worth. He tells GlobeSt.com that he's holding a contract on a medical office building and has placed three letters of intent on other properties.
Marshall founded DataVest in 1984 as a fiduciary for international and domestic investors in real estate acquisitions and dispositions. His black book includes investors from Saudi Arabia, Canada and several Japanese-based companies.
