"We are going through this renovation in an effort to position Bay Point as the premier resort in the region," says Jorge Hernandez, the resort's vice president of marketing. He says the resort at 4200 Marriott Dr. will be publicly reintroduced this year as "the Pearl of the Gulf Coast."
The hotel has 40,000 sf of meeting space, using two ballrooms and 22 breakout rooms. Other amenities include four restaurants, two championship golf courses, one indoor pool and four outdoor pools, along with a private bay beach area. When completed this year, an 18-hole golf course will be the only Jack Nicklaus-designed course in Northwest Florida, Hernandez says.
