Platinum Press, a start-up operation, set up shop in 6,912 sf at 501 106th St. in Arlington while Southern Cosmetics Labs took over 10,725 sf at 2501 Dalworth St. in Grand Prairie. The printer signed a three-year lease with a Feb. 1 start and the cosmetics lab penned a 68-month commitment, according to brokers working the deals.
Platinum Press, a label maker for pharmaceutical bottles, was founded by brothers, Tom and Mike Miller, who searched for six months to find a centrally located space with the right finish-out for its product line, Frank G. Jester II of Dunn Commercial LP in Arlington tells GlobeSt.com. The 45,493-sf building is owned by the locally based GS Warehouse. Chris Delzell with Henry S. Miller Commercial in Dallas represents the building owner, which has the space on the market at $5.50 per sf.
In the Grand Prairie lease, Southern Cosmetics looked for eight months before latching onto the space. "We got a pretty good deal on this particular space," Pete Richardson with Henry S. Miller Commercial, says. "It was a real aggressive deal." The firm relocated from an Avenue G building.
Jamie Galati with Cushman & Wakefield of Texas Inc. is leasing the building for the Montreal-based owner of record, Tarrant County Ltd. PS. The 66,000-sf structure, with a $4.25 per sf rate, has 48,345 sf sitting empty.
