Located at 7120 W. Sherman St., the land parcel was sold by East LA LLC, a local investment group that had owned it since 1999. "We had four offers from a variety of users," says Bo Mills, a vice president with Trammell Crow Co. He tells GlobeSt.com that that the land is rail-served, which contributed to the strong interest. He says there is a lot of competition for industrial land, even from residential developers.
Freight Terminals, now leasing at 1412 S 51st Ave., was represented by Tom Knaub, a vice president with Colliers Classic's local office. Mills and TCC's Mark Detmer brokered terms for the seller.
The transportation company will be joining several other trucking companies that have congregated on the west side of the Valley because of its accessibility to the major highways. Plans for the facility are still being ironed out.
