Justin Hodgdon of Studley's Orange County office reports that Perkowitz + Ruth will be moving to South Coast Plaza Tower from its Newport Beach offices at 15 Corporate Plaza. Perkowitz + Ruth will occupy the entire 16th floor of the 21-story building located 600 Anton Blvd. The architectural firm was represented by Hodgdon and Studley's Michael McKeever, with South Coast Plaza Tower represented in-house by John Barganski.Hodgdon says that although the architectural firm's current lease was not scheduled to expire until August, the firm needed to move from its 12,000-sf office to upgrade the company's image and accommodate its growth. The lease includes a competitive rental rate, a complete build-out of the new space and an early occupancy period, eliminating double rent obligations and allowing the firm to satisfy its immediate need to expand, the Studley brokers explain.Perkowitz + Ruth chose the South Coast Plaza property after reviewing a Studley analysis of the available buildings in Newport Center and the South Coast Metro sub-markets, according to Hodgdon. He adds that, in addition to the building itself, the South Coast location provides proximity to restaurants, premium retail and other amenities. Perkowitz + Ruth employs 200 professional staff members serving clients located in both the United States and internationally, working from the firm's six offices in California, Nevada, Arkansas, Oregon and Washington, DC.
