The Irving-based hotel REIT has tapped David C. Kloeppel, executive vice president and CFO of Gaylord Entertainment Co., to fill the 10th board seat, vacated at the end of third quarter 2004. Kloeppel's name will go before the shareholders for approval at FelCor's 2005 annual meeting.

"In today's world, you need highly capable board members with lots of experience, Thomas J. Corcoran Jr., FelCor's president and CEO, tells GlobeSt.com. The board had decided to stick with nine, but then reinstated the 10th chair for Kloeppel, he explains.Kloeppel, headquartered in Nashville, joined Gaylord in September 2001. Prior to that, he worked in mergers and acquisitions for Deutsche Bank in New York City.

At TCC, six executives were accorded promotions to managing director and principal. Managing directors titles went to Scott Krikorian and Phil Puckett, a pair of "heavy hitters" who joined TCC in 1988 and 1997, respectively. The following earned principal nameplates: Rich Flaten, Dana Gescheidle, Jud Jacobs, Jon McNeil and John Woolsey.
