Indian Health Services, which manages federal health programs for Native Americans, has been a tenant in the 100,000-sf office building for seven years, says Devpal Gupta, head of Equis Corp.'s Phoenix office. He and Bobby Ashhurst represented Indian Health Services in the five-year lease for 1626 E. Indian School Rd.
"Given the infrastructure that is already in place for their administrative offices, it would have been very costly for them to move," Gupta tells GlobeSt.com, adding it was fortunate that there was expansion space available. The agency will move into the extra space in the coming weeks.
With the expanded lease, the three-story, class B building is 85% occupied. It leases for $20 per sf. Brian Raczynski with CB Richard Ellis Inc. represented the local building owner, Aztec Square Group.
