Speakers and panelists at the conference will address every facet of the commercial real estate industry, including lenders, developers, brokers, investors and advisors. Panel discussions will focus on topics ranging from the economy, development and investment to advisory, technology, insurance, brokerage and finance.

New features at Real Estate 2005 will include a discussion on the tenant-in-common industry titled, "The Next Big Thing: The Who, What, Where, Why and How of Tenant-in-Common Investing," and the special presentation of a Lifetime Achievement Award to George Smith, chairman of George Smith Partners Inc.

In addition to Shorenstein, speakers at the event will include Arden Realty's Victor Coleman; Marcus & Millichap's Harvey Green; GMAC's John Cannon; CB Richard Ellis' Lewis Horne; CoStar Group's Andrew Florance; the Irvine Co.'s Bill Halford; Washington Mutual's Al Brooks; Legacy Partners Residential's Dean Henry; LNR Property Corp.'s David Team; Grubb & Ellis' Robert Osbrink; RBC Capital Markets' Jay Leupp; and Diedra Pellegrini of Bank of America.

Jonathan Schein, president and CEO of Real Estate Media Inc., will deliver opening remarks at the event, and editor-in-chief Michael Desiato will serve as moderator of the advisors panel. More than 1,000 registrants have already signed up for this year's conference, and Martin S. Stolzoff, this year's conference co-chair, notes that last year's event attracted more than 1,300 attendees.
