In a second deal, this one in Lynwood,Adir International Export Ltd., doing business as La Curacao, leased 30,000 sf of retail space at Plaza Mexico at 3160 Imperial Highway in a 10-year, $6.3 million transaction. The landlord, Placo Investment LLC, was represented by Luis Valenzuela, Dan Morales and Javier Del Valle of NAI Capital.
La Curacao will be opening a retail store for the sale of furniture, electronics and appliances. La Curacao will be opening a smaller store at Plaza Mexico than its typical box size of 100,000 sf, according to Valenzuela, who explains that finding 100,000 sf for a store is difficult in urban areas and the smaller concept allows La Curacao to expand more rapidly throughout Southern California. La Curacao was represented by Tom Murrin and Van Wilson of Retail Leasing Services.
In a third retail deal in Manhattan Beach, Charles Dunn Co. reports that a private buyer purchased a single tenant retail building occupied by Jack-In-The-Box on a half acre of land at 815 N. Sepulveda Blvd. for approximately $3.2 million. Charles DeSantis and Brian Jensen of Charles Dunn's West Los Angeles office represented the buyers, with the seller, Midtown Niki Group, represented by Tanel Harunzade and Jonathan Ahron, also of Dunn's West Los Angeles office.
