Larry McCorkle has left the Bradford Cos. in Dallas to assume the senior vice presidency and leadership role for Staubach. McCorkle tells GlobeSt.com that he was involved in ground-level talks that began a year ago and escalated in recent months when the brokerage firm's upper echelon decided to proceed with the rollout. The move has ended a nine-year run at Bradford as director of investment services.
"Larry McCorkle's nine-year tenure was truly appreciated by his associates at Bradford as he was a true friend and a top producer," says Kevin J. Santaularia, Bradford's president. "Our business finds many opportunities for stellar performers and as a door opens for Larry at Staubach, another will open at Bradford for a candidate looking for a challenge directing Bradford investment brokerage operations."
McCorkle says it will take a couple weeks before most of his work is wrapped up at Bradford plus he has a few sales in the pipeline that could take a couple months to close. But, he's in place at Staubach's Dallas headquarters and ready to hit the ground running in search of listings. Realistically, he expects it will be summer before any listings are in hand. "I'll take whatever I can to get it started," he says.
McCorkle, armed with a black book of contacts, will court institutional owners with industrial portfolios for the start-up group. He initially will team with industrial tenant reps to find, sign and sell. In the interim, he's assessing what's in place in Staubach's network. "I know we have the capabilities in all the major cities," he says.
McCorkle is a long-term hold, having worked for 12 years at CB Richard Ellis Inc. before going to Bradford. While at Bradford, he was named top investment broker for four consecutive years, top broker for three years running and top producer in 2004 with a 2.9-million-sf volume.
"The industrial group at Staubach is delighted to have someone of Larry's caliber and dept of experience joining our team," Sharon Morrison, senior vice president of the office group, says in a prepared statement.
