PEARLAND, TX-A Houston-area developer is set to break ground in April on a 10,000-sf, speculative retail project that will add an upscale shopping center to the master-planned community of Shadow Creek Ranch.
Stephen Schorr with NAI Horizon's Houston office says developer Jabe Development will break ground on the multi-million-dollar, high-end retail project, which may also include medical offices, on a 1.5-acre tract in the heart of Pearland. Completion is penciled for August.
The shopping plaza, which also includes a pad site that is currently being eyed for a Starbucks, has frontage on Texas 288. The development will be located adjacent to a medical office area between FM 518 and McHard Road, accoriding to Schorr.
Schorr says there are no tenants in hand as yet. But, he adds, it's expected to lease up quickly with a rental rate of $24 per sf.
