The firm has its sights set on a number of key US markets, including Atlantic City, Washington, DC, Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Miami Beach, Orlando and Naples, FL, Hollywood and Portland, OR. Red Door officials say its strategy includes identifying and partnering with "marquee" developers/owners in the hospitality industry to bring Red Door Spas to existing and developing properties. The spas will be managed and staffed by Red Door employees.

"Introducing new Red Door Spas to high-end hotels and resorts is a win-win for both parties," said John Richards, chief executive officer for Red Door Spa Holdings. "With spa services now being the most requested amenity in hotels and resorts, the existence of a proven brand that consumers can relate to is sure to be an important addition to any property."

The hotel/resort division currently operates three Red Door Spa locations at the Mystic Marriott in Mystic, CT, at the Seaview Marriott in Galloway, NJ and at the Westin La Paloma in Tucson. This month, the firm plans to open a Red Door Spa at the Providence Biltmore. The firm also plans to open a Red Door Spa at the Wigwam Resort in Phoenix this year as well.

Red Door Spas currently has five locations in New York: its flagship at 691 Fifth Ave., as well as the Red Door Salons at Saks Fifth Ave. at 611 Fifth Ave., in New York City and in Huntington, the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salon & Spa at the Westchester Mall in White Plains and the Red Door Salon & Spa in Garden City. In addition to its facility in Mystic, Red Door plans to open a location this April at 1077 Boston Post Rd. in Darien, CT.
