Kate Leigh, president of BOMA Orange County, reports that the regional winners will now advance to the international competition, which will be announced at BOMA International's North American Real Estate Congress and The Office Building Show in Anaheim. The event is scheduled for June 25 through June 28.
The Ronald Reagan Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse garnered the regional award for the government building category. It is owned andmanaged by US General Services Administration and was designed by the architectural firm of Gruen Associates/Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Partnership. The property team consists of Sherry Grimes, Tina Hingorani, Derek Lynch and Ed Wasielewski.The 1920 and 2010 Main Plaza property received the regional award for buildings of 500,000 sf to 999,999 sf. It is owned by Equity OfficeProperties Trust and is managed by Equity Office Properties. The architect is Langdon Wilson. The property team consists of Mariellen Ignelzi-Smith, Mackenzie Frericks, David Gekchyan, Alan Bergmann and Michael Palladino.The 17901 Von Karman building won the regional award in the category of 250,000 to 499,999 sf. Owned by LBA Realty Fund, the building is managed by LBA Realty LLC and was designed by Langdon Wilson. The property team consists of Karen Quinn, Elizabeth Bouton, Mike Mann, Tony Alaniz, Manuel Roseto and Aurelio Abad.
