Dils is the new executive vice president and managing director of Grubb & Ellis Co.'s local office. Staubach has headed his own firm for the last 12 years and also has an Atlanta office that competes against Dils' organization. Dils will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the local G&E office, as well as directing business development activities and recruiting.
"Atlanta is a key market for Grubb & Ellis and we believe Steve's business development and institutional account management experience will allow us to grow our market presence in this important business hub," says Robert H. Osbrink, president, transaction services for Grubb & Ellis.
Dils is confident his fit with G&E will be mutually beneficial. "Grubb & Ellis' ability to combine local real estate knowledge with global market coverage in an environment that encourages professional development and stresses a client-first philosophy is consistent with my beliefs and how I've conducted my professional career over the past 16 years," he says.
Dils comes to G&E from PM Realty Group where he spent three years as senior vice president and director of the firm's Atlanta region. PM officials couldn't be reached for comment. Prior to PM Realty, Dils spent 10 years at locally based PC Associates where he was director of leasing and marketing of the two-million-sf, class A Piedmont Center office complex.
Dils is treasurer and president-elect of Atlanta chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties and is a member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Stanford University.
