Heritage at TowneLake, however, will consist of three elevator buildings of four stories each, with garages on the first floor. The project will also include a 5,000-sf clubhouse with a variety of amenities, according to Jason Kaplan, president of the Highland Park, NJ-based development company.

"We have built many neighborhoods, appropriate for people of all ages, from apartments, to condominiums to single-family homes," Kaplan says. "Constructing age-restricted housing is the ideal next step for us." Initial occupancy is expected in about a year. Local residents will also get first crack at buying units, according to Kaplan.
