In two other leases brokered by Cushman & Wakefield, both in Vernon, tenants have leased two previously vacant industrial buildings. In one deal, Toy Factory, a manufacturer and distributor of plush toys, signed a five-year lease worth more than $1.2 million to occupy a 48,000-sf concrete tilt up building at 2460 E. 28th St. Built in 1966, the building is owned by Alfs Investment Group. John McMillan, Jeff Sanita and Mark Lombardo of Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord. Toy Factory was represented by Chris Telles of TRC Commercial.
In the other Vernon transaction, Calflex Manufacturing, makers of high-end industrial hoses, will relocate from the City of Commerce to Vernon under terms of a five-year, nearly $1.3 million lease to occupy a 1992-built, 47,000-sf industrial building at 4560 Loma Vista Ave. Landlord Catellus Commercial was represented by theCushman & Wakefield team of McMillan, Sanita and Lombardo. Calflex was represented by Dave Fults and Brian McLoughlin of CB Richard Ellis.
