The lease allows the firm to expand, while at the same time vacating approximately 5,000 sf of space it occupies at the nearby Two Gannett Drive building. Both properties are owned by the Treeline Cos. LLC. Informa plans to complete the consolidation by this July.
Al Gutierrez of CB Richard Ellis' Westchester/Fairfield offices represented Treeline. Informa Investment Solutions represented itself in the lease negotiations.
Gutierrez says that Informa renewed its commitment for nearly 9,000 sf of space on the ground floor of Four Gannett Drive and is now leasing more than 17,200 sf of space on the second floor of the 115,000-sf building. Treeline's Two Gannett building totals approximately 111,000 sf.
Vincent Rossetti, senior vice president of the wealth management division of Informa, says the company needed the additional space due to its acquisition of netDecide Corp. of Falls Church, VA about a year-and-a-half ago. The company's lease for space in Virginia expired at the end of 2004 and Informa has been relocating some workers to its White Plains offices.
Rossetti says that Informa currently employs approximately 95 and is looking to have a workforce of approximately 120 workers at its expanded White Plains offices. While the company did consider several other Westchester properties, Rossetti says the firm had already completed improvements to its space at Four Gannett Drive that included a new data center and boardroom. He adds that with its new lease deal, the firm also has an option for additional space at the Four Gannett building.
Informa Investment Solutions Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Informa Financial Information Inc., of Westborough, MA. CBRE's Gutierrez adds that leases are out for an additional 9,000 sf of space at both sites. If those deals close, the complex would be at more than 96% leased.
