Cohn is a former associate in the business and finance department of the Philadelphia-based law firm of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius. In the new position at GMH Communities Trust, Cohn will be responsible for assisting with SEC reporting and compliance and corporate governance. This company, a REIT that specializes in military and student housing, went public in December 2004. Gary M. Holloway Sr., who founded GMH Associates in 1985, is chairman and CEO.
At GMH Capital Partners, which also started under the GMH Associates umbrella before the REIT was formed, Forrest moved up from vice president to senior vice president of the investment services division, and Andrew Egan joined the company as investment sales analyst. This company, headed by Gary M. Holloway Jr. as president, provides investment sales and asset management services in all real estate product categories, including office, retail and industrial.
Meanwhile, GMH Associates' acquisitions department was recently reinstated. Its primary focus is the acquisition of conventional multifamily assets along the East Coast and in Texas and California. Steve Behrie was named vice president of acquisitions and charged with growing this company's portfolio.
