The firm is nearly doubling the 11,000 sf it now occupies at Wachovia Center at 200 E. Broward Blvd. It will relocate to its new quarters in the 21-story, 273,000-sf Sun-Sentinel property at 200 E. Las Olas Blvd. in September following build out of the interiors. The space features floor-to-ceiling windows on all sides and a conference room with 25-foot ceilings. It is pre-wired for up-to-date telecommunications.

The Miami-based firm, which also has an office in Tampa, now has 16 attorneys and 25 additional staff members here. Rick Schatz, managing partner, says, "The firm has been experiencing such strong growth over the past two years that we've just outgrown or current offices."

Schatz retained Mark Goldstein of Miami-based Continental Real Estate Cos. to search for larger quarters. The client needed to be near the courthouses and downtown. "The challenge was finding a space large enough to handle the firm's expansion," Goldstein says, adding that it "expects continued future growth in this location."

Goldstein and CREC broker David Moret represented the tenant. Jay Adams and Deanna Lobinsky of the area office of CB Richard Ellis, represented Lauderdale River Inc., the building owner. This lease takes occupancy in the building to 93%. Other tenants are South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Mercantile Bank and Deloitte & Touche.
