As reported on GlobeSt.com in December, Northrop Grumman Corp. will move its Missile Engineering Center to the new site at 862 E. Hospitality Lane inside the 153-acre Tri-City Corporate Centre at the junction of Interstates 10 and 215 by January 2006. The defense firm, which has been a longtime tenant on East Harry Sheppard Boulevard in San Bernardino, signed a 10-year lease with Rancon Realty Fund V to occupy 85,000 sf of the new project that Opus is building. The new building will be managed, leased and developed by Glenborough Realty Trust Inc. on behalf of Rancon.

Northrop's 85,000 sf will constitute approximately two and half floors of Brier Corporate Centre, with the remaining 24,000 sf of office space in the project to be available for lease. Bret Davis of Glenborough Realty is handling leasing for the development. Kyle Dorand, manager of real estate for Opus West, says that San Bernardino County's 3.22% growth rate and ranking as the sixth fastest growing county in California have increased the need for quality office space throughout the Inland Empire.
