For more than a decade, the university has rented space in the Top of Troy Building, near Big Beaver Road and Interstate 75, but the university says it has now outgrown that space. CMU spokesman Mike Silverthon says CMU has possible locations in Troy under consideration.
If approved by the board, as expected, the university is looking for up to 22,000 sf that can accommodate about eight classrooms and office space. The board is expected to approve that the new space cost no more than $550,000 a year. Silverthon would not comment on where in Troy CMU is looking for new space.
