"It's a potpourri of the design world from furniture to fabric," Jeffrey Becker, senior vice president of NAI Hunneman Commercial in Boston tells GlobeSt.com. "One of the reasons they enjoy it there is because there are so many related trades in the same environment." Becker, who negotiated the lease for the tenant, notes that a confidentiality agreement prevented him from discussing the lease terms, but said office space in the building rents for between $20 and $22 per sf. Duncan Giley, with the Davis Cos., which manages the property, represented the owner.
The property is located on South Boston's waterfront in the Seaport District and is adjacent to the new Boston Convention Center. Becker says one of the reasons that helped the firm select the site was because of its proximity to the downtown area and Logan Airport. The recently completed extension to the Massachusetts Turnpike and the Ted Williams Tunnel also allowed for easier access, Becker adds.
