ENGLEWOOD, NJ-Noddle Cos. has broken ground for Shoppes on Dean, a Downtown redevelopment project here. Located at South Dean St. and Englewood Ave., the project will consist of 50,000 sf of retail space on two levels and a 475-car parking garage on three levels. A spring 2006 completion is projected.The project is actually a public-private partnership between the Omaha-based Noddle and the City of Englewood. Noddle is marketing the retail portion of Shoppes on Dean for an upscale tenant mix. National tenants already in the market include Ann Taylor, Bath & Body, Blockbuster, Cosi Café, GNC, Learning Express, Nine West Outlet and Victoria's Secret, among others.Howard D. Geneslaw, a director in the real property department of the Newark-based law firm of Gibbons, Del Deo, Dolan, Griffinger & Vecchione, represented Noddle in negotiating a redevelopment agreement, securing development approvals and closing the construction financing. Shoppes on Dean is being designed by the Bannett Group Design Builders of Cherry Hill.
