The Marshall Field's at Cleveland-based Forest City Enterprises' center on Boughton Road near Interstate 355 and the Interstate 55 exit also is the first since 1999 for the division of May Department Stores Co. The newest Field's was built in Grandville, MI. The nearest Marshall Field's stores are at Orland Square in Orland Park and Louis Joliet mall in Joliet.
Forest City Enterprises' development pipeline includes 502 multifamily rental units at Central Station in the South Loop. The company has $116 million invested in that project. Forest City Enterprises also is planning to redevelop Pfizer Inc.'s former 1-million-sf research and office complex in Skokie. Work on its Illinois Technology Innovation Campus is scheduled to begin this year.
