GAITHERSBURG, MD-Locally based Hubert Construction LLC has won contracts for six new projects in Northern Virginia, Suburban Maryland and Delaware. The projects, which involve office/retail/flex/industrial developments, account for a total of 600,000 sf. When all is said and done, Hubert will walk away with a sum of $57.6 million for its work on all the properties.

Three of Hubert's projects are located in Northern Virginia. The six-year-old company will build two new flex facilities on Rockhaven Way at Dulles Trade Center I in Dulles. Buchanan Partners brought Hubert onboard for the $6.6-million project, which will offer a total of 140,000 sf at a location off Route 606. Acting on behalf of Buchanan again, Hubert will also erect two single-story structures containing 82,000 sf in what will be known as the Dulles Retail Center. This $11.1-million retail element will complement the office properties being developed in the Dulles Trade Center.

In Ashburn, Hubert will build Ashburn Crossing, a four-building office condominium property, for developer Keane Enterprises in exchange for $8.5 million. The for-sale office facilities will feature anywhere from 15,000 sf to 23,000 sf each. The fourth Virginia project on Hubert's list is Prince William County's Innovation Business Center in Manassas, where the company will build three single-story facilities offering an aggregate 130,000 sf of flex space for $7.7 million. The job also includes site work for office buildings at Innovation Business Park.

The fifth project, Bowie Corporate Center, is located in Bowie, MD and is being built on behalf of Buchanan for $15.5 million. The 132,000-sf class A office structure will be Hubert's first LEED Silver Certified endeavor; the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Green Building rating indicates that the structure will be developed as an environmentally friendly property. Finally, Hubert has been charged by Lennar Homes with constructing the 42,000-sf Heritage Shores sports and community center in Bridgeville, DE for $8.2 million.
