The new entries join a tenant list at Town & Country that includes a 135,000-sf Lowe's Home Improvement Center, with two more retailers and a third restaurant expected to sign on at the property. Town & Country, situated on 25.5 acres, is part of the 600,000-sf Simi Valley Town Center lifestyle center, which in turn is part of a 1.5-million-sf mixed-use development along Highway 118 between First Street and Erringer Road. The new center is being developed by Forest City West, the Los Angeles-based real estate development arm of Cleveland's Forest City Enterprises, along with Simi Valley Town Center LLC, which is composed of The Corti Gilchrist Partnership LLC, and The Finley Group LLC of San Diego.
Simi Valley Town Center, scheduled to open Oct. 27, will be anchored by Macy's and Robinsons-May and will be the first new regional center to be developed in Ventura County in more than 25 years. The mixed use project that it is part of occupies a 129-acre site that will include a 500-unit luxury apartment complex overlooking the retail area. The apartment complex, developed by Dallas-based builder JPI, will open in phases beginning in August.
Among the other new shops, stores and restaurants that have agreed to enter the center are American Eagle Outfitters, Coldwater Creek, Jos. A. Bank Clothiers, lucy, New York & Co., No Fear and Hollister Co. , Abercrombie & Fitch, Red Robin, Academy Optical, Bath and Body Works, The Body Shop, Brookstone, EB Games, Express, Fashion Nail & Day Spa, Finish Line, Fragrenza, Gymboree, Haagen Dazs, Hallmark, Jamba Juice, Journeys, Lenscrafters, Pacific Sunwear, Picture People, Quizno's, Starbucks Coffee, Victoria's Secret and Zales.
