Bruce Beaton immediately tied up the property at 3255-3305 W. Osborn Rd. when it came on the market and paid cash, says Paul Boyle, a senior vice president with Grubb & Ellis|BRE Commercial LLC. He and Grubb's Rick Danis represented Beaton while Dan Hakes of Dan Hakes & Associates in Scottsdale brokered for the seller, Betty Lou Wilbur of Chicago.

According to Boyle, Wilbur owned the building for several years and wanted to exit the Phoenix market while Beaton was looking to enter the market. "He was looking for a non-management intensive investment and this property fit his criteria," Boyle tellsGlobeSt.com. Woodcase Fine Cabinetry Inc. has occupied the building more than a decade, Boyle says, adding it's midway through a long-term lease for the 1970s-vintage building.
