MARLTON, NJ-Troth Associates has slated an end-of-May opening for its 25,200-sf Shoppes at Elmwood, which the locally based developer has positioned as an upscale neighborhood shopping center. Paul Friedman and Michele Coppola of the Conshohocken, PA-based Metro Commercial Real Estate have the leasing exclusive for the property.

"The Shoppes at Elmwood will provide much-needed high-end commercial retail to this corridor of Route 70," says Friedman of the property, which is located in South Jersey. "This area is experiencing phenomenal growth."

The Shoppes at Elmwood will open with a tenant roster that includes Heather's Clothes, an upscale women's apparel store; Mikado Japanese Cuisine, Loupy's Crab, a gourmet seafood restaurant; and Bernard's Hair Salon. The shopping center is part of a larger retail site developed by Troth that includes a 3,000-sf Citizens Bank, a 3,000-sf 7-11 and a 4,000-sf Pizza Hut-Italian, all freestanding. The project required Troth to get the approval of the New Jersey DOT for a traffic light on Route 70.
