Bovis is no novice when it comes to working on condominium projects with KSI; the real estate company is also serving as general contractor on KSI's Midtown Alexandria Station, a 359-unit project in Alexandria, VA.

Midtown Bethesda, which is being designed by the architectural firm of Dorsky Hodgson + Partners, will soar 19 stories at an address off Bou Street near Rockville Pike, allowing for easy access to both Rockville and Georgetown. The 450,000-sf structure will feature amenities such as a fitness center, library, business center, rooftop pool flanked by a clubhouse, and a five-story above-grade parking facility.

"The Washington Metro area's condo market is off to a great start in 2005, following a record-setting year in 2004," according to Delta Associates' First Quarter 2005 Market Insight report for the area. "During the first quarter of 2005, there were 3,520 new condominium sales, compared to only 1,690 new sales during the first quarter of 2004."

The project team for Midtown Bethesda is currently being assembled, while excavation activity has already begun at the site. The condominiums will be open to residences in the spring of 2007.
