Murray says that PM Realty has already had success in "putting together below-the-radar investment transactions for our clients." However, based on industry trends, he says, the company wanted to create a West Coast-based advisory services team, which will work together with and leverage off of PM Realty Group's existing platform of services. Among the services that the firm already provides are property management, leasing, construction management, engineering, development and others. Over the past five years, its Investment Services Division consummated nearly $1.9 billion in investment transactions for its clients.
Thompson says PM Realty sees a need for the new Investment Advisory Services Team will provide because clients today are looking for advisers who can evaluate an asset from the perspective of a developer, an owner or a manager and who have backgrounds in financial and operational due diligence, valuation and other areas of expertise. The PM Realty Group's listing with Burnham is Jupiter Realty Corp.'s Executive Complex, a 25-story class B building. PM Realty says the team plans to take advantage of the continued flow of national capital into Southern California real estate as well as the strong market indicators for San Diego.
Murray, who formerly was responsible for investment services for the Western division of PM Realty Group, has been with the company since 1998 and held a variety of roles as an investment broker and manager before that. Thompson directed delivery of commercial real estate services to PM Realty Group clients and owners throughout Southern California with overall responsibility for the profitability of the Southern California division.
