The seller, ETP Ventures, owners of the Lawrence Eagle Tribune, put the 14-acre site and an office and production building up for bid about six months ago after the Tribune bought the Gazette and consolidated the paper's operations. Auclair tells GlobeSt.com that he liked the property's location near Routes 495 and 110 and its expansion possibilities from the moment he first saw the building. "I have a knack for seeing value in property," say Auclair, who represented Haley. ETP Ventures was represented by Meredith & Grew vice presidents Robert Cronin and Frank Perry.

Built in 1978 and renovated in 1999, Auclair says his recent purchase, which was vacant at the time of sale, offers him the option of placing a variety of tenants in the property, although none have yet signed on. He envisions it as an auto dealership, offices, or even condominiums, but says it is still too early to say exactly what type of tenants will fill the property's 27,420 sf of space.
