"It's a brand new building, custom built out for their exact needs, and it's a great value," he says, noting that the class A office property, located off Route 128 within close proximity to commuter rail and bus lines, has gross rents in the high teens. Carey says the company, formerly known as Eliyon Technologies, will be among the first tenants in the building, which was constructed in 2001. Office product maker Ricoh Corp. currently occupies more than 20,000 sf in the 143,000-sf building, owned by Duffy Properties.
"307 Waverley Oaks Rd. is a great fit for Zoom Information," says Jack Kerrigan, executive vice president with Grubb & Ellis, which negotiated the lease for the landlord. "The property is in close proximity to their current Cambridge location and the Waverley Oaks campus provides unlimited expansion for this growing company. Additionally, Zoom Information was attracted to the numerous onsite amenities including management and ownership, restaurants and fitness."
Duffy Properties was represented in the transaction by Carey, Kerrigan and Grubb & Ellis Associate Tyler Spring. Leasing arrangements for Zoom Information were handled by Mark Schwarz with the Palmer Russell Company of Brookline.
