NIH leased 28,000 sf--one entire floor--and 3,700 sf of the building's first-floor retail segment, while the DED signed on for 13,000 sf. J. Andrew Masters and Scott C. Randolph of real estate services firm CB Richard Ellis secured the new tenants for property owner and developer Foulger-Pratt Cos. "These transactions exemplify the 'flight to quality' trend that has taken place in Montgomery County as tenants relocate to newer office buildings," Masters explains.
Further details on the NIH and DED leases at the Weihe Design Group-designed property are not readily available, although CB Richard Ellis markets space in the eight-story building for about $31 per sf, according to Black's Guide. NIH relied on Cresa Partners' Rich Rhodes and Matt Apter in facilitating the transaction, and DED represented itself.
