ATLANTA-Although it won't open for business until spring 2006, the second 300,000-sf, 30-acre phase of the planned 1.1-million-sf Camp Creek MarketPlace in southwest Fulton County is already 80% preleased.
The first 750,000-sf, 55-tenant phase of the estimated $100-million, 145-acre shopping center being developed by Cincinnati-based North American Properties is 99%-leased, a company representative tells GlobeSt.com.
Phase II anchors include American Signature Furniture, LA Fitness, Circuit City, DSW Shoe Warehouse and Publix Supermarkets. Bank of America and Wachovia have agreed to purchase two of the five outparcels. Other committed retailers for Phase II include Mama Fu's Asian House, Starbucks, Subway, America's Best Contacts and Eyeglasses, Hollywood Video and Bruster's Real Ice Cream.
An additional 15,000 sf of small-shop space is still available, says Tonya Creekmore, vice president of leasing for North American Properties. The company won't disclose average asking gross lease rates but South Fulton County retail brokers familiar with the submarket tell GlobeSt.com the space is probably renting from $15 to $20 per sf.
"Phase II solidifies our vision of developing a super regional commercial node for South Fulton County," Creekmore says. "Camp Creek MarketPlace will soon deliver a true one-stop shopping experience with more than 100 retailers and restaurants providing virtually every retail and service need in one destination."
