Hagan, who has been with Liberty for 16 years, will oversee investment growth initiatives while also continuing to direct all acquisition, disposition and joint-venture activity, responsibilities that were already under his direction. Shelby Christensen, former VP and regional property manager for Liberty's mid-Atlantic and Florida regions, is promoted to SVP, responsible for the firm's property management nationwide.
Liberty also hired Michael Heise and Donald Schoenheider to head its Jacksonville, FL and Chicago operations, respectively. Heise is the former director of leasing for Raleigh, NC-based Highwoods Properties' Tampa operation. Schoenheider, formerly a managing principal of Landon Properties LLC, has also held posts with Jones Development Corp. of Illinois, Trammell Crow Co. and Grubb & Ellis.
Meanwhile, Valerie Bowman joined the local office of CBRE as VP of global corporate services where she will spearhead business development in the metropolitan tri-state region. Among her recent clients in her previous post with locally based Binswanger are NovaCare Rehabilitation Inc., Johnson & Johnson Services Inc., Comcast and Rohm and Haas. She has 18 years of commercial real estate and retail leasing experience including seven years with Rouse Co., where she was involved with leasing for the Gallery at Market East, Exton Square and Plymouth Meeting Mall.
