Phillip Burgess, president of Burgess Properties in Malden, tells GlobeSt.com that the Cincinnati-based engineering firm opted to locate in the building because the site is close to one of the firm's main clients. The engineering company provides services to General Electric's Aircraft Engine manufacturing plant. Burgess declined to reveal the exact cost of the lease but said the property generally rents for around $16.50 per sf.

With its rising clock tower, the building is one of Lynn's major landmarks and is considered one of the city's preeminent office buildings. Among its tenants are the high tech firm Lightbridge, along with Belcan Engineering and Patriot Properties. Burgess represented the owner, 330 Scangas Nominee Trust, while Tamie R. Thompson, with Spaulding & Slye/Colliers of Boston, represented TK Engineering.
