McCormack Baron Salazar Inc. of St. Louis, along with Legacy Management and Development Corp. of Minneapolis, is developing 440 apartment homes over four phases with the first 345 apartments now complete. The units are geared for people of all income levels through a mix of market rate, subsidized and public housing, rental homes include primarily one, two and three bedroom floor plans with four and five bedrooms available. McCormack Baron Ragan Management is providing leasing and management.
Heritage Commons, a rental building designed for seniors, is under construction on the south side of Olson Memorial Highway on Van White Memorial Boulevard and Dupont Avenue. The project offers 102 rental apartments for seniors, 40 of which are for assisted living. McCormack Baron Salazar and Legacy Development also are developing Heritage Commons. The project is owned and managed by the Minneapolis Public Housing Authority, and is the first new public housing built for Minneapolis seniors since 1972.
SumnerField, the for-sale housing component at Heritage Park, will consist of 360 for-sale homes and is scheduled for completion by 2009. The first two phases will include 171 custom-built houses, townhomes and condominiums. Construction is under way on 33 single-family houses with 60 townhomes with an additional 25 condominiums to be built later. Heritage Housing LLC is developing these houses.
