ELIZABETHTOWN, PA-Jay Group, a Pennsylvania-based marketing and fulfillment company, has acquired the former M&M Mars distribution facility at 1499 Zeager Rd. for just over $11.1 million, or $40 per sf. The seller is St. Paul-based Tyson Cos., a third-party logistics provider.
M&M Mars, which has US headquarters in Hackensack, NJ, recently vacated the building to relocate area distribution operations to Hazelton, according to Michael Hess, senior associate in the Harrisburg office of CB Richard Ellis. Hess and Patrick Lafferty, VP of the same office, represented both Jay Group and Tyson in the sale transaction.
The 278,000-sf building was completed in 1995, according to Hess, who says it is fully air conditioned and rail served. "Jay Group is a user/buyer," he adds, "and it plans to occupy all of the facility."
