Shahram M. Siddiqui, a former member of the business law section of the locally based international law firm of Cozen O'Conner, was named general counsel and COO. Prior to becoming a lawyer, he was the principal of a clothing manufacturing firm.
Wayne Weitz, former managing director of corporate investment banking at Commerce Bank in Philadelphia, was named CFO. He has nearly two decades of experience in financial operations and corporate finance and has served as both an advisor and a principal.
Laura Vernola, named marketing director for Tower, previously oversaw advertising and marketing initiatives for numerous cultural institutions in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She also worked on local, regional and international accounts at locally based Gyro Worldwide Advertising Inc.
Bart Blatstein, president and CEO of locally based developers says these executives' combined experience and know-how "adds significant depth to our management team, which increases Tower's core capabilities." Tower is currently involved in a 25-acre work/live/shop complex in Northern Liberties, the Avenue North housing facility for Temple University here, and a $300-million mixed-use development in Coatesville.
