NAI Friedland Realty EVP Ross Schneiderman says that Diam has already taken occupancy of its new Elmsford offices. Schneiderman, who represented Diam in both transactions, says the firm is using its Elmsford offices to support its Yonkers operations. Diam still maintains operations in Queens as well. Richard LeRoy of Delphi Commercial in Tarrytown represented Wescon in the transaction that involves all the space at the 700 Executive Blvd. property.

"They filled up their building at Tuckahoe Road and needed to expand their operations," Schneiderman says. Diam needed a large block of space rather quickly due to its growing business, which was a reasonable distance from its Yonkers headquarters, he adds, and the Elmsford property suited its needs. The Elmsford offices are now being utilized as a satellite location for Diam.

Last year Diam International signed a 22-year sublease deal with Quest Communications for the entire 555 Tuckahoe Rd. building. The deal was one of the largest commercial lease transactions in memory in Westchester County. Diam International spent approximately $17 million in renovations to the building that serves as its corporate headquarters, as well as a distribution and display center. Diam International is a retail merchandising products supplier that provides point-of-purchase and retail displays worldwide.
