Biotech Firms Ink Leases Totaling 76,000 SF

In Lexington, ActivBiotics Inc. took 17,800 sf at 110 Hartwell Ave. under a three-year arrangement that allows the firm to move from its former location at the Ledgemont Center at 128 Spring St., in Lexington into laboratory and office space owned by Glenborough Realty Trust. BG Medicine Inc., formerly located at 40 Bear Hill Rd. in Waltham, has signed on to take 21,000 sf under a three-year sublease at the Hobbs Brook Office Park, 610 Lincoln St., also in Waltham.

All three tenants were represented by Richards Barry Joyce & Partners LLC. The real estate brokerage firm also represented owner Glenborough. In the Waltham transaction, sublessor GPC Biotech Inc. was represented by CB Richard Ellis/Whittier Partners, while the Cambridge negotiations were handled by owner Lincoln Property Co.
