The addition of the three to Cushman & Wakefield represents "a terrific boost for our business in Orange County," according to Bruce Mosler, president and CEO of the company. Sherburne, Hayden and Boyd combined have completed transactions with a total aggregate value of more than $3.3 billion. They are focused exclusively on representing corporate clients and large one-off tenant representation in Southern California and nationally.
Sherry Bower, senior managing director for CBRE in Orange County, commented that Sherburne, Hayden and Boyd "served CB Richard Ellis for many years, and it's always flattering when our competitors look to CBRE for its talent." Bower says that CBRE continues to maintain "a dominant position in the Orange County market" and a "deep talent pool."
The three new Cushman & Wakefield brokers join an Orange County operation that is headed by Joseph Vargas, senior managing director. Sherburne has 20 years in commercial real estate, all of which has been spent at CBRE, where he rose to SVP. He has negotiated more than 900 transactions with an aggregate value of $1.5 billion, specializing in lease consolidations and decentralizations as well as build-to-suit transactions and land purchase assignments.
Hayden, a broker since 1995, spent the last six years with CBRE, where he was an SVP. He has negotiated transactions with an aggregate value of more than $1 billion, specializing in multimarket assignments as well as large leases and build-to-suits. Boyd, who joined CBRE in 1996, has negotiated more than 500 transactions valued at more than $750 million. His expertise includes build-to-suits, user sales and multimarket transactions.
