Corinthian Colleges will pay $5.13 million over the term for the 5416 E. Baseline Rd. office building. The school offers healthcare diplomas in surgical technology, massage therapy and other health-related fields so the proximity to newly planned Banner and Vanguard hospital campuses in Mesa was key to the deal as was the owner's willingness to meet the parking requirement, Karsten Peterson with Trammell Crow Co.'s Phoenix office tells GlobeSt.com. "Since parking was an issue for Corinthian College, the owner had to buy additional land to accommodate their parking requirement," he says.
Besides Peterson, the TCC team included Dave Seeger and Mark Gustin, who were representing the building owner, Inverness M-6 Holding LP. Rick Osselaer of Strategic Commercial Realty in Phoenix brokered the deal on behalf of the tenant.
