The Golf Mill location is the seventh in the market for Value City Furniture, which was represented by HSA Commercial Real Estate executive vice president and managing director Tim Blum in negotiations with General Growth Properties leasing agent Steve Greenwood. The deal reduces vacancy at the 47-year-old northwest suburban mall to 11%.
The average household income in Golf Mill Shopping Center's three-mile trade area is $81,883, according to General Growth Properties' market research department. Value City Furniture already has locations in Aurora, Burbank, Calumet City, Hanover Park, Northlake and Orland Park.
