Casa Serena went on the market in February, according to Walsh, who says the complex, formerly known as the Citadel, drew 10 offers from prospective buyers. The property, which consists of 10 two-story buildings of wood frame and stucco construction and wood shake roofs, was approximately 90% occupied at the close of the sale.

Built in 1970, Casa Serena includes 103 one-bed, one-bath units, nine one-bed, two-bath with den units, two units with two bedrooms and one and a half baths in a townhome design, 24 two-bedroom, two-bath apartments and four two-bedroom, two-bathroom cottages. The complex features park-like landscaping along with amenities that include a basketball court, gas barbecue areas, paddle tennis courts, a recreation room, a swimming pool and a fitness center.
