Shadd Walker of Colliers Seeley represented Next Estate, which has been growing rapidly, according to Walker. This newly leased space offers 70,000-sf floor plates, allowing NEC's entire operation to remain on one floor and providing the potential for the firm to expand further in the building.
Blaine Fetter of Samuelson & Fetter, the landlord, represented himself in the transaction. The building is close to amenities in Old Town Monrovia, including restaurants and shopping.
The location is also in an area that is popular with technology related companies because it is close to the City of Hope, a major research center, as well as CalTech and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The building's other tenants include GNP Computers and Genzyme, a biotech company.
